If I move my display resolution up to the monitor's native resolution, then when I try snipping an image, my screen crams itself into the upper left corner of my monitor (in a space that looks suspiciously like 1600x900 pixels), leaving empty black space to the right and bottom. If I change my display resolution to anything 1600x900 or less, then Snipping Tool doesn't alter my screen. My laptop (1600x900 resolution) is connected by HDMI to a monitor (1920x1080 resolution) I close the laptop and use the monitor exclusively at my desk. After updating Windows last night (thanks, Microsoft), this happens every time I try using the software. I've been able to use this software successfully for months since installing, and with Creators' Update for weeks without issue. Device Manager tells me that my Intel HD Graphics 5500 adapter is using the correct driver (I've got a Dell Inspiron laptop), and Windows Update can't find anything newer, either. I've tried SFC /SCANNOW and the Registry fix recommended by Mayur Ragha at this link: Today, however, whenever I try to use it, it shrinks the image on my screen before I can take a screenshot.
